Alteration and Addition to an Existing House

The existing 1920’s three-bedroom home was greatly in need of a facelift, both inside and out. The existing detached garage was removed and a new attached garage was created, as well as an extension for the new primary bedroom and ensuite. Keeping with the existing character of the house was an essential part of this project, while also bringing the interior up to date with modern living. An open plan kitchen, living and dining space was created which opens out onto two separate decks which link up to the back garden. Window seats were created in the primary bedroom and living room, to enable the occupants to enjoy the back garden views. A skylight was installed into the kitchen to bring more natural light into the space and a new fireplace was installed to engender a cosy cottage aesthetic and bring the owners together during the colder months.
