Located in the hills of Brooklyn, this small two and half bedroom house had a growing family that needed more space. Excavating under the house to create four bedrooms, bathroom, toilet and family area improved the space for the family to grow. On the first floor we adding a dining space and an ensuite to the primary bedroom. The fireplace is seen as a feature on both floors, with the dining space overlooking the living space below. Gallery windows in the kitchen, and large new windows flood both levels with natural light. The exterior of the building was designed to keep the character of the existing house, all while modernising the interior spaces.
