Located in Breaker Bay with amazing sea views, the existing house was in need of more privacy from the street but wanting to maintain the wonderful view. The solution was to move the house further back on the property as well as raising it up providing more height between the street and house. There was an extension added to the front of the house as well as a deck which has a half wall to provide another level of privacy. The extension to the front of the house provided a larger open plan space for the living room, dining and kitchen as well as adding a new sunroom. The existing sunroom was converted in a new bedroom. The extension keeps with the character and form of the existing house. The deck acts as another living space in summer that now has a larger disconnect from the street creating a more comfortable, useable space.
